Joaquin McCloud is a rising second-year at the University of Georgia, double-majoring in Political Science and International Affairs. He is passionate about civic engagement, public service, and both domestic and international policy. As a PACE intern, Joaquin conducts in-depth analysis of philanthropic efforts addressing political apathy and belonging among younger Americans and assists in mapping civic engagement funding. He is also currently enrolled in a summer program sponsored by George Washington University and the Ronald Reagan Institute, where he is studying civics and presidential and executive leadership. Previously, he volunteered with the grassroots organization Progressive Turnout, promoting voter participation and assisting with voter registration efforts across the UGA campus.
