Cam supports research and learning at PACE, with a particular focus on the Democracy Futures project. Originally from Atlanta and now based in Philadelphia, he has dedicated his career to helping emerging nonprofits tackle systemic challenges—from rural brain drain and economic inequity to the mental health crisis. Over the past four years, Cam has placed more than 150 young professionals into leadership roles within local governments through Lead For America, built an online community of 200 philanthropic funders at Mindful Philanthropy, and served as Board Chair of ʻEwalu Industries, the only work-based learning organization in Kona, Hawaiʻi. Cam is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government, where his studies focus on the role of philanthropy in reforms to campaign finance, elections, and public service.
