We provide a platform for funders to collaborate on near-, medium-, and long-term efforts to bolster the key pillars of constitutional governance, increase civic participation, and reimagine the future of democracy. Importantly, we insist that action is taken in a way that strengthens the conditions for pluralistic democracy, including by building coalitions of funders across ideological, geographic, generational, and sectoral differences.
The anchor of our joint action work is our Civic Philanthropy Incubator–a protected space within PACE where members can work together to identify, experiment with, and scale bold and concrete solutions to immediate threats facing American democracy.
Currently, the Civic Philanthropy Incubator is actively investigating this question: What are funders across the political spectrum willing to do about democracy weaknesses in 2026?
