Dr. Siri Erickson serves as the Senior Director for Strategy and Learning at Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE), where she leads the organization’s research, experimentation, and funder learning initiatives and supports the network’s ability to adapt and evolve in pursuit of its ambitious strategic goals. In this role, she guides PACE’s learning agenda, translating research and experimentation into insight that strengthens philanthropic strategy and practice.
At PACE, Dr. Erickson has played a central role in advancing learning initiatives that help funders advance pluralism, civic language, and civic engagement. Building on three years of prior involvement, Siri now leads PACE’s Civic Language Perceptions Project (CLPP), which explores how Americans across differences understand civic and democratic language and what those insights mean for effective engagement and communication strategy. Her work contributes to PACE’s broader learning lab approach, which emphasizes peer learning, experimentation, and collaboration across differences.
Prior to joining PACE, Dr. Erickson held senior leadership, learning, and strategy roles across the nonprofit, faith, and higher education sectors. She most recently served in diversity, equity, and inclusion and religious life roles in higher education, including as Special Assistant to the President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Gustavus Adolphus College. She was also the founding director of the Gustavus Academy for Faith, Science, and Ethics, where she designed and led initiatives focused on dialogue, ethical inquiry, and social change.
Dr. Erickson brings over two decades of experience as a leader, facilitator, and public speaker working at the intersection of public engagement, equity, and organizational leadership. She is known for integrating systems thinking, facilitation, and contemplative practice to support institutions in navigating complexity with clarity and courage.
She holds a B.A. in chemistry from Carleton College and an M.Div. and doctorate in contemplative leadership from Claremont School of Theology. Dr. Erickson lives in St. Peter, Minnesota, with her husband and two children, where she is active in her local community as a peacekeeper, singer, dance mom, and menopause doula.
